Conditioned tan leather seats in a San Antonio detailing studio

Leather conditioning in San Antonio heat

A parked cabin in this heat cooks leather. Conditioning is the last step of a clean, not a wipe that hides dirt.

Heat is the problem

Leather that lives in a Live Oak or Windcrest driveway dries out. It creaks, it lightens on the cushion, and it grabs dye from jeans. A greasy dressing on top of dust makes it worse. Material-appropriate interior cleaning cleans the grain first, then conditions what the material can take.

Vinyl is not leather. A coated leather is not an open hide. We use a light conditioner when the surface wants it and we skip the shine if the leather is already coated. Tell us if a previous detail left the seats slippery.

What a clean has to include

Seams, bolsters, and the crease where you sit hold the grit that scratches the finish. Conditioning over that grit rubs it in. The same visit covers carpets and door panels, because a shiny seat next to a dirty carpet is not a finished cabin.

If the paint is also tired, a full detail is the combined appointment. Conditioning does not fix a tear, a burn, or dye that has already transferred. We say that before the slot is held.

How often

Twice a year is enough for a garaged car. A vehicle parked in the sun may want a lighter cabin visit sooner. Read how often to detail if you are picking a cadence. The studio is at 11692 Bricken Circle in 78233.

Call (210) 201-4847. Tuesday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. A 20% non-refundable deposit of the quoted total holds the time.

Conditioner is the last step, not the first

A parked cabin in this heat dries leather. Conditioning comes after the hide is clean. A wipe that leaves oil on top of dirt looks shiny for a day and holds more dust the next. We do not rebuild cracked leather, and a stain that has dyed the hide may remain. Vinyl is not treated like leather.

Say whether the seats are leather, coated cloth, or vinyl when you book. The chemical that is safe on one is not automatically right for the other. We test a small area when the surface looks aftermarket or already damaged.

Call (210) 201-4847. The appointment is interior detailing at 11692 Bricken Circle, not a conditioning-only special. Tuesday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Monday is closed. The deposit is 20% of the quoted total.
