What sticks to a wheel
Brake dust bakes on. Highway film from I-35 sticks to the tire shine people wipe on and never wash off. Exterior detailing cleans the face, the barrel we can reach, and the tire. It is part of the outside visit, not a separate drive-through add-on.
Larger truck wheels take longer. Say so when you book a truck or SUV.
What we will not do
We do not grind the face of a coated wheel with a harsh acid and hope. If a wheel is already pitted or the clear on the face is peeling, cleaning will not make it new. We will tell you. Dressing on the tire is light, so it does not sling onto the paint you just cleaned.
If the paint around the wheel is swirled, that is paint correction, not a wheel job.
Where
At 11692 Bricken Circle. Converse and Universal City commuters see the same brake dust. Call (210) 201-4847. The deposit is 20% of the quoted total.
What the barrel actually needs
San Antonio brake dust bonds inside the barrel faster than pollen bonds on the hood. A hose across the face leaves the inner barrel gray. Exterior detailing treats the wheels as their own step so that dust never goes into the paint bucket. Tires are cleaned and dressed only as far as the material allows. A cracked wheel is not repaired.
Trucks and SUVs take longer here because the barrels are larger and the dust is heavier. We will not price a dually like a coupe. If the paint is also filmed, the wheels are part of the exterior visit, not a drive-up wheel special.
Call (210) 201-4847 and describe the wheels and whether they are the whole complaint. Studio: 11692 Bricken Circle, 78233. Tuesday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Monday is closed. Twenty percent of the quoted total holds the appointment. If the face is clean and the barrel is still gray, that is the usual reason a rinse looked finished and was not. Brake dust in the barrel is part of an exterior detail, not a separate wheel package. A clean face with a gray barrel is unfinished wheel work. Tires are cleaned. A bent wheel is not repaired.
