Two different jobs
Film has thickness. You can sometimes see an edge. It is there to absorb impacts that would chip paint. Coating does not do that. If your complaint is highway chips on the front clip, film is the category that addresses it, and you need a shop that installs film. We are not that shop.
If your complaint is swirls, water spots, and a finish that is hard to wash, that is coating after prep. Shop-applied ceramic coating is the service on this site. Wax is the shorter comparison in ceramic coating versus wax.
Prep still matters
Film and coating both look better on paint that has been corrected first. Locking swirls under either one is a poor use of the money. Multi-stage paint correction is the note on doing that before a coating. The correction service itself is paint correction in San Antonio.
We will not quote a film package, a film warranty, or a combined film-and-coating menu. Asking us for film will get a no, and a suggestion to keep the coating conversation separate.
What to book here
Book correction if the clear coat bothers you in the sun. Book coating if the paint is ready and you will wash it. Book both when the test spot says the polish is worth it. Neither appointment happens in a driveway.

Coating and film are not substitutes
Ceramic coating is a surface layer on paint. Paint protection film is a physical sheet, usually on the front clip, that this studio does not install. A coating will not stop a highway rock the way film is sold to do, and film is not the answer to swirls in the clear coat. Buying one because an ad used the other word is how the wrong job gets booked.
If you want coating, the paint still needs to be clean and the correction decision still has to be made. If you want film, that is a different shop. We will say that plainly.
