What the coating cannot hide
Professional ceramic coating prep is protection after the panel is clean and stable. It is not a filler and it is not a polish. Wash, decontamination, and then a decision: is the paint acceptable, or does it need paint correction and prep work? A test spot answers that. One pass on a soft clear coat is different from a neglected black truck that was dry-wiped for three summers. The film will not fill the marks you leave. That point is a coating does not hide swirls.
The process page is the order. The cost page is why the number moves with prep. We do not publish a single coating price that ignores the paint.
When you can skip correction
A newer car with light haze may only need a wash, a clay, and a light polish, or sometimes no polish. Whether that vehicle needs correction at all is whether a new car needs correction. We will say if the clear is already thin. Skipping correction to save a day is honest only when the paint is already what you want to look at for the next few years. If you hate the cobwebs in the sun, do the correction first.
Both steps happen at the studio in 78233. Schertz and Fort Sam Houston customers drive in. We do not coat in a driveway.
After the install
Follow the cure window we give you. Wash the car. Do not stack a random wax on top without asking. A maintenance visit later is cheaper than pretending the coating made the climate optional. If you are still comparing wax, the coating versus wax note is the short version.
Call (210) 201-4847 with the color and a photo in direct sun if you have one. The 20% non-refundable deposit of the quoted total holds the day. Balance when the work is finished.
The order is the whole point
Coating over swirls locks the swirls in. Correction, when the clear coat can take it, comes first. A test spot shows how much the finish can improve before the rest of the car is polished. Some panels are left alone because the clear is thin or a repaint is risky. We do not hide that conversation inside the install.
If you skip correction to save the day, say so. We would rather coat only what you accept, or wait, than imply the paint was perfected. The quote names which choice you made.
