What the coating changed
After a proper install, water sheets or beads and road film lets go with less scrubbing. That only stays true if you wash the car. Proper hand washing keeps swirls out of the clear and maintains the hydrophobic behavior of your ceramic coating maintenance services. A coated, never-washed vehicle in a Windcrest driveway will still look brown by August.
Use a clean mitt and dry with a clean towel. Automatic brushes put swirls into coated paint the same way they put swirls into bare clear coat. See swirl marks.
What to skip
Skip the dish soap, the random wax, and the spray someone handed you at a parts counter until you ask what was installed. Some toppers are fine. Some just make the next wash annoying. The list is products to avoid on a coating. The process page is the order we used. The cure window we give you is the one to follow.
Hard water still spots a coated car if it dries on the panel. Dry it. The water spots note is the longer version.
When to come back
A lighter maintenance visit is for film that washing is no longer clearing, not for a second correction. Read how long a coating lasts. The installed service is ceramic coating services at the studio in 78233. Call (210) 201-4847.
The wash that keeps a coating useful
A coated car still spots if hard water dries on it, and it still swirls if a dirty mitt or a tunnel brush hits it. Hand wash, a grit guard habit, and drying on purpose are the maintenance. Dish soap as a habit is the problem, not one mistaken wash. Touchless tunnels vary, and the brushes next to them are the usual damage.
We do not publish a cure clock or a year-count warranty. Ask what the first-wash window was when the coating was installed, and follow that. If the paint was coated over swirls, washing will not hide them.
If the coating is no longer beading and the paint looks tired, call (210) 201-4847 before you stack another product on it. 11692 Bricken Circle. Tuesday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Monday is closed.
